Speaking at a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly and ticket-holders from Multan, she highlighted the importance of inclusive development.

According to her, development projects are now being planned based on population ratios, ensuring that resources are distributed more equitably. This includes the introduction of modern green electric buses in far-flung areas of Punjab, which will eventually be launched in Lahore.

A significant development in healthcare was also announced, with the installation of a cancer ablation machine at Nishtar Hospital, Multan. This machine, imported from China, has already begun providing non-surgical cancer treatment to patients from Multan and other provinces. The machine was previously introduced at Mayo Hospital, Lahore.

The meeting also discussed ongoing development projects and public issues in Multan. Lawmakers thanked the chief minister for the construction of the Jalalpur Pirwala and Noraj Bhutta flood protection embankments in record time. The chief minister agreed to a proposal for the construction of a bridge over the Chenab between Shujaabad and Khan Garh and directed the authorities to examine a proposal for converting the existing jail site into a public park.

Additionally, she ordered the expansion and redesigning of Khanewal Road. The chief minister emphasized the importance of keeping lawmakers involved in development projects in their respective constituencies until their completion. This ensures transparency and accountability in the implementation of projects.

Lawmakers expressed support for the chief minister and praised her government’s development and law-and-order measures. They noted that the benefits of development have started reaching the people, and highlighted the government’s flood response and measures against land-grabbing groups as significant steps. They also emphasized that Punjab has emerged as an example of development, with the chief minister taking a lead in the province’s development.
