The British newspaper Financial Times has claimed that India is very angry with the respect and reception Pakistan received at the White House during Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s recent visit to the United States.
According to the report, Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the retirement ceremony of General Michael Corella in the United States, and earlier he also met former US President Donald Trump.
Pak-US relations have unexpectedly improved since the visit, and the US now looks to Field Marshal Asim Munir as a strategic mediator in the region, the newspaper writes.
It was also reported that the US president promised an agreement for the development of Pakistan’s oil reserves, and Pakistan has given the US new investment opportunities in the energy, minerals and crypto sectors.
