In the face of threats on borders and complex hybrid challenges, mutual military cooperation is vital, Field Marshal

The Regional Chiefs of Defense Staff Conference was held in Islamabad, with the theme “Strengthening Links, Safeguarding Peace”. The conference took place under the supervision of the Public Relations Department (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, where the top military leadership of the US, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir warmly welcomed the defense delegations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability and positive ties in the region.
In his address, the Field Marshal said “In this era of cross-border threats and hybrid challenges, deep cooperation, strategic dialogue and mutual trust between forces have become more important than ever.”
He also made it clear that Pakistan is committed to working with its partner countries to create a safe and prosperous region. According to ISPR, this historic multilateral conference is a major step forward in regional security, defense diplomacy and strategic cooperation.
The conference held a detailed dialogue on the regional security situation at the highest level, also discussed the changing strategic situation in Central and South Asia.
Participants reiterated the collective commitment to countering common security threats, terrorism, cyber insecurity and extremism, and agreed on the principles of national sovereignty and mutual respect.
Participating delegations at the conference appreciated Pakistan’s defense leadership and hospitality and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts.
According to the ISPR, this strategic alignment is a reflection of Pakistan’s vision of a secure, integrated and cooperation-oriented region, where Pakistan gives top priority to common security interests and regional cohesion.
