Israeli aggression poses serious threats to regional peace: Ishaq Dar
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the Israeli aggression has posed grave threats to peace in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar addressed the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
“We are grateful to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other leadership for the wonderful hospitality in Istanbul,” he said in his address.
Ishaq Dar said that the Muslim Ummah is facing many major challenges at the moment. We have to work together to address these issues. He hoped that the OIC would play a full role in this regard.
“Even today, millions of people in occupied Palestine are in dire straits. We have to take concrete steps together to stop Islamophobia,” he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed grave concern over the rising tensions in the Middle East, saying Israeli aggression has seriously threatened the peace of the region.
“Thousands of women and children have been martyred as a result of the Israeli offensive. We call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza,” said Ishaq Dar.
He added that Israel’s actions are a blatant violation of international law and Pakistan is taking all possible steps for regional peace and stability.
Finally, Ishaq Dar said that it is never acceptable for India to withhold water from Pakistan’s share.
