
New Zealand beat Pakistan easily to win the title in the final of the Nations Hockey Cup.
New Zealand defeated Pakistan 2-6 in the final match played at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
First quarter:
New Zealand had a 0-2 lead against Pakistan at the end of the first quarter. The first goal for New Zealand was scored by Coslet Scott and the second by Heha Sam.
Second quarter:
New Zealand started the second quarter with a 0-2 lead, where Thomas Dylan, Findlay Sean and Boyd Scott scored to extend the lead to 0-5.
Third quarter:
The third quarter started with a 0-5 lead, but Pakistan’s Hayat Zakaria opened the scoring to make the score 1-5.
Fourth quarter:
In the fourth quarter, New Zealand’s Coslett scored his second goal and the team’s sixth, while Pakistan’s Sufyan Khan scored the second on a penalty corner.
