100 electric buses from China to leave for Pakistan today: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that 100 modern electric buses from China have started leaving for Punjab, which will leave for Pakistan from Yantai port by tonight.
In a message on social networking site X (formerly Twitter), Maryam Nawaz said that these buses are being sent to districts of Punjab where there was no formal public transport system, including Mianwali, Okara, Nankana Sahib, Muzaffargarh, Pak Khan and Ghazni.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that the fare will be only Rs 20, the buses will be environmentally friendly, equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, equipped with fully automatic ticketing system, will have an accessible design for special individuals.
Maryam Nawaz said that this initiative will provide safe, comfortable and dignified travel facility to the citizens, and lay the foundation of modern transport system in Punjab.
