The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet has approved a Rs. 300 million Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) for the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to address essential repair and maintenance work at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s Staff Colony.

The funding, which will cover maintenance requirements for the fiscal year 2026-27, was deliberated upon and approved after a summary was submitted by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control.

The committee also allocated Rs. 150 million for the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination to support Pakistan’s participation in the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) in Antalya, Türkiye.

Additionally, Rs. 934.481 million was approved for the Pakistan Sports Endowment Fund Scheme 2025 under the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, aimed at operationalizing the fund under its approved framework.

The ECC further approved Rs. 1.666 billion to provide short-term training in China to 1,000 agricultural professionals, enhancing their skills in the agricultural sector.

The allocation of funds reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure and supporting various national initiatives, including climate change and sports development.

The approval of these grants underscores the ECC’s role in overseeing the distribution of funds to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources across different ministries and departments.
