Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL), the manufacturers of New Holland tractors in Pakistan, has expanded its international footprint by entering the Uzbek market. The company's first export consignment of tractors was delivered to AgroTech Klaster, a company within Uzbekistan’s leading automotive and industrial manufacturing hub, Uzavtosanoat JSC.
The strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Tashkent by Mr Yasin Seker, Chief Executive Officer of AGTL, and Mr Ulugbek Matkarimov, General Director of AgroTech Klaster. This partnership marks a significant milestone in AGTL’s international growth journey.
During a visit by AGTL’s senior delegation to Uzbekistan, the MoU was reviewed with the visiting delegation. AgroTech Klaster’s technical leadership commended the build quality of the machines and their suitability for Central Asian farming conditions, indicating early confidence in the partnership.
The agreement builds on AGTL’s first delivery of 18 tractors to AgroTech Klaster. Under the MoU, the two companies will collaborate to grow business volumes, facilitate cross-border trade, and explore technology in advanced mechanization. They will also assess future opportunities in high-technology farm machinery for Pakistan, including cotton pickers and combine harvesters.
AGTL’s senior delegation, comprising Mr Yasin Seker, CEO; Mr Azhar Noor, Chief Commercial Officer; and Mr Mohayuddin Rubbani, Senior Manager Exports, also met Dr Davron Khidoyatov, Deputy Chairman of Uzavtosanoat Group. The visit comes as Pakistan and Uzbekistan deepen trade and industrial cooperation.
Both sides welcomed AGTL’s entry into the Uzbek market as a practical expression of the relationship between the two countries. The discussions identified opportunities for wider collaboration across Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region, with a shared commitment to improving access to agricultural equipment and supporting regional food security.
