Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Monday, following a decline in the international market. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold per tola fell by Rs2,400, reaching Rs463,136.

This decline was observed despite a slight increase in the price of 10-gram gold, which was sold at Rs397,064 after a fall of Rs2,058. The international market also saw a decrease, with gold prices dropping by $24 to $4,406 per ounce.

On Saturday, the price of gold in Pakistan had reached Rs465,536 after a decline of Rs3,600, indicating a trend of decreasing prices over the weekend.

The decrease in gold prices is reflective of global market trends, which have been influenced by various economic factors. Analysts suggest that the reduction in international prices is a key driver for the local market.

Silver prices also saw a decline, dropping by Rs39 to reach Rs7,059 per tola, further illustrating the overall downward trend in precious metals.

The APGJSA shared that these changes are in line with global market movements, which have been impacted by factors such as economic policies and investor sentiment.

For consumers and investors, the decrease in gold prices may offer an opportunity to purchase at lower rates, although the market remains volatile and subject to further fluctuations.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association advises consumers to stay informed about market trends and to make purchasing decisions based on their individual needs and financial planning.
