The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has continued its upward trend by closing in green for the 212th consecutive day on Tuesday. The PKR ended at 277.76, marking a gain of one paisa against the US Dollar (USD).
In addition to the USD, the PKR also gained ground against other major currencies. It increased by one paisa each against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and Saudi Riyal (SAR), reflecting a steady appreciation in its value.
The most significant gains were recorded against the British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR). The PKR appreciated 49 paisas against GBP, reaching 373.6883, and gained 40 paisas against EUR, closing at 319.6935.
While there was a slight loss of 46 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD), the PKR managed to gain nine paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
The ongoing strength of the PKR can be attributed to various economic factors, including improved trade balances and investor confidence in Pakistan's financial stability.
