ISLAMABAD: Sixteen replicas of the historic Liberty Bell, reimagined by Pakistani artists to reflect their views on freedom, were unveiled at Lok Virsa Museum on Thursday. The exhibition, titled ‘Let Freedom Ring,’ was inaugurated by US Chargé d’Affaires Andy Halus and Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi.
Organised by the US Mission to Pakistan through its Public Diplomacy Section and Lincoln Corners network, the exhibition features artworks created by artists from across Pakistan on the theme ‘What does freedom mean to me?’ The decorated bells showcase diverse colours, symbols, and styles, highlighting personal interpretations of freedom, identity, creativity, and hope.
Halus stated that art and expression connect societies, while Khichi highlighted how cultural exchanges help strengthen ties and understanding between Pakistan and the US.
