According to the latest Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Zong has been declared Pakistan’s fastest mobile network in the second quarter of 2026.
The report, based on independent measurements collected by Opensignal over 90 days, assessed four major mobile operators—Jazz, Telenor, Ufone, and Zong—across 20 cities in Pakistan.
Zong achieved an average national 4G download speed of 18.55 Mbps, significantly higher than Jazz’s 17.61 Mbps, Ufone’s 12.82 Mbps, and Telenor’s 7.5 Mbps.
In terms of upload speeds, Zong also outperformed its competitors, recording 7.81 Mbps compared to Jazz’s 6.26 Mbps, Ufone’s 4.42 Mbps, and Telenor’s 2.82 Mbps.
Video experience was another category where Zong excelled, scoring 41.66 out of 100, just ahead of Jazz at 41.51.
Ufone led in mobile gaming experience with 50.08 points, followed closely by Zong at 47.28 points.
Zong also topped the time on network category with 96.59 percent, while Jazz stood at 93.33 percent, Telenor at 92.58 percent, and Ufone at 92.16 percent.
The report noted that the national average 4G download speed was 18.9 Mbps, rising to 31.3 Mbps on high-end devices, and the average 4G upload speed was 5.32 Mbps.
The national 4G video experience score was 37.53 out of 100, while games experience stood at 43.85.
PTA cautioned that 5G deployment was still at an early stage, with limited coverage and a small user base, meaning the 5G results should be treated as indicative rather than a conclusive measure of nationwide performance.
