The rear of the device is flat and features a horizontal camera bar containing three cameras, with the phone available in four colors: Black, Ceramic Special Edition, Warm Gold, and Nishino Red.

The outer display measures 5.38 inches and uses an OLED panel with an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 1712 × 1168 resolution.

The inner folding display is a 7.58-inch AMOLED panel with a 1672 × 2364 resolution, adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness, using UTG glass.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is powered by Xiaomi’s new in-house XRING O3 chipset and is available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

The 12GB version uses LPDDR5X memory, while the 16GB configuration is offered with either LPDDR5X or LPDDR6 RAM, all using UFS 4.1 storage.

The phone comes with HyperOS 4 pre-installed, and Android 17 is expected to be the underlying operating system, though Xiaomi’s specification sheet does not explicitly mention it.

Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB 3.2 Type-C, with no water-resistance rating specified.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold has a triple rear camera setup led by a 200MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization, joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture, OIS, 3.5x optical zoom, and 7x optical-quality zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
