Alison Hammond returned home after undergoing a hospital visit for a heart check-up. The presenter left ITV's This Morning midway through the broadcast on Friday.
Dermot O'Leary assisted Hammond off the set. Dermot O'Leary stated that Hammond was "feeling a little unwell".
Hammond herself stated that she experienced "a little bit of a palpitation". Later, Hammond shared via an Instagram video on Saturday that she was "all OK, all-clear, which would mean I had a massive panic attack on live TV. I mean, the shame of it."
Regarding her health, she stated, "It felt very real to me. I'm really new to panic attacks, so I need to learn more about it." The ITV show commenced at 10:00 BST on Friday.
Hammond departed the programme at 11:30 during a segment concerning pets. Dermot O'Leary later informed viewers that Hammond would not return for the remainder of the show.
Hammond previously became a co-host on This Morning in 2021. Her career progression included joining Bake Off in 2023.
Most recently, Hammond took over the role from Paul O'Grady on For the Love of Dogs in 2024.
