New Yorkers are adopting movie and television screenings as shared summer rituals across the city. Parks, waterfronts, and rooftops are currently being converted into temporary cinemas for public viewing.

Bryant Park's Movie Nights have established themselves as a notable New York summer tradition. At Bryant Park, the film The Truman Show was screened for a second time.

Furthermore, The Summer I Turned Pretty was also shown at the Bryant Park venue. The cast members from The Summer I Turned Pretty attended the screening event held at Bryant Park.

Brooklyn Bridge Park's Movies With A View initiative provides free outdoor film showings along the waterfront. At Pier 17, attendees watched the film Forrest Gump.

A special screening event for the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty took place at the rooftop at 230 Fifth. The special collaboration at 230 Fifth included Sephora gift bags containing Summer Fridays lip balms.

Prime Video partnered with T-Mobile to transform the park into an experience mirroring the Cousins Beach setting from the show.
