Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the interior ministry's Karachi office on Monday and announced plans for a one-stop facilitation centre in Karachi. The centre, according to Naqvi, will allow citizens access to passport, CNIC, arms licence, various NOCs, and other services all in one location.
Furthermore, Naqvi directed that the master plan for this new facilitation centre must be submitted within ten days. During his visit, Naqvi also inspected twenty-one new vehicles designated for Islamabad Rescue 1122 and the fire brigade.
The ministry confirmed that these new rescue vehicles will arrive in Islamabad from Karachi within five days. Naqvi stated that the addition of these new vehicles represents the largest expansion for Islamabad rescue since 2009.
The modern rescue vehicles will maintain round-the-clock availability across six stations throughout Islamabad. These new rescue vehicles possess the capability to conduct operations at heights reaching up to 256 feet.
The new fleet composition includes four aerial fire trucks, six fire towers, and five fire tenders.
