Government and opposition parties resumed discussions on Saturday, with the session chaired by NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Furthermore, the planned protest was rescheduled, moving from 27 September to 4 October.

A second round of negotiations is set for 2 pm on Saturday. Mohsin Naqvi voiced concerns regarding the law and order situation within Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Naqvi attributed the security issues and the TTP attacks to the provincial government. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas rejected the government's position concerning the link to terrorism.

Sherry Rehman, representing the PPP, stated that the party believes in resolving matters through negotiations. Rehman added, "They will have to call it off rather than postponing or deferring."

The PTI rejected claims that negotiations required the cancellation of the long march. The government's position on calling off the protest was publicly known.

Sources indicated that dialogue and the long march are proceeding on separate tracks. Meanwhile, the TTAP lodged a protest concerning a breach of understanding regarding discretion.
