Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, Director General of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), instructed officers and staff to give immediate assistance to applicants concerning Katchi Abadis issues. During the session, which heard citizen complaints under the Government of Punjab’s Open Door Policy, Chaudhry issued directives.
He directed that citizens receive relief strictly based on merit and in line with established rules and regulations. Furthermore, the DG FDA directed the acceleration of court decrees implementation and the proper registration of property transfers based on inheritance.
The DG FDA also directed that the ongoing operation against illegal housing schemes must become more effective and yield tangible results. Strict legal and departmental action, Chaudhry stated, must be taken against land-grabbing elements, encroachments, and illegal constructions.
Addressing complaints, Chaudhry directed Estate Management officers to promptly deal with citizen grievances regarding encroachments. To monitor progress, the Additional Director General FDA was directed to regularly review departmental action concerning citizen applications.
Ensuring accountability, Chaudhry emphasized that staff negligence and dishonesty require immediate handling.
