Spot gold increased by 0.6% to reach $4,163.16 per ounce by 12:22 pm EDT on 6 October 2026. Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee concluded trading at 277.05 against the US dollar on 6 October 2026.

US gold futures for December delivery gained 0.8%, reaching $4,191 on 6 October 2026. In the local Pakistani market, the price of gold stood at Rs437,536 per tola on 6 October 2026.

The cost for 10-gram gold was recorded at Rs375,116 on 6 October 2026. Silver maintained its price stability, remaining at Rs6,588 per tola on 6 October 2026.

Adnan Agar stated that gold might face further drops unless it manages to break above the $4,280 level. Should gold fail to cross the $4,280 mark, Agar suggested it could drop towards the $4,050 to $4,000 range per ounce.

Furthermore, a breach below $4,000, according to Agar, could open a path towards $3,700 an ounce. Agar also noted that increased pressure on gold could result from a $4-5 rise in oil prices combined with sustained growth in US bond yields.

TD Securities anticipates that gold will surpass $5,000 per ounce within the next year.
