The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the domestic cricket calendar for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The season is set to run from August 11, 2026, to June 15, 2027, and will include a variety of competitions aimed at supporting the development of cricketers across Pakistan.
According to the PCB, the calendar includes two List A tournaments, three first-class competitions, two non-first-class three-day events, two T20 tournaments, national U19, U17, and U15 competitions, district leagues, inter-district tournaments, and school cricket in 100 districts. The season will begin with the National Champions Cup from August 11 to 18, followed by the President’s Cup from August 21 to September 8.
The PCB has also expanded regional cricket by adding one new team each from Sialkot and Peshawar. These regions will join Karachi and Lahore as the only four of Pakistan's 16 regions to field two teams. The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, which was previously a non-first-class event, has been upgraded to first-class status for the 2026-27 season.
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold will be played in Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and Rawalpindi from November 1 to December 17. The top eight teams from the previous season will compete in this competition, with the top two sides qualifying for the final. Each team will play seven first-class matches.
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver will feature 12 teams, including new teams from Peshawar and Sialkot, relegated sides Abbottabad and Bahawalpur, and the remaining eight teams from last season's Hanif Mohammad Trophy. The competition will run from November 1 to December 5, with the group winners advancing to the final.
The National T20 Cup Gold is scheduled for February 23 to March 6, 2027, while the National T20 Cup Silver will take place from February 5 to 19. The season will also include national U19, U17, and U15 competitions, as well as district leagues and inter-district tournaments.
The PCB has divided the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy into two competitions: the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold and the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver. The top eight teams from the previous season will compete in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold, while the former Hanif Mohammad Trophy has been upgraded to first-class status and renamed the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver.
The National U19 Championship and Cup are scheduled for September 15 to November 6, 2026. The Age-Group Trials will take place in September, followed by the National U15 Cup from October 22 to November 6, 2026, and the National U17 Cup from November 10 to December 5, 2026.
The Challenge League is set for March 15 to April 10, 2027, while the Regional Inter-District Senior Tournaments will run from April 12 to May 20. The Challenge League U19 will be held in November 2026, and the School Cricket events will take place from August to November 2026.
