Daraz Express Expands Logistics Services to Over 200 Brands

Key Takeaways

  • Daraz Express (DEX) has seen a 6X growth since launching its last-mile delivery solution for businesses outside the Daraz marketplace.
  • The company now serves over 100 cities in Pakistan and supports more than one million parcels per day through automation.
  • Prominent brands such as Sapphire, Sana Safinaz, Khaadi, SAYA, Nishat, Generation, Edenrobe and Saeed Ghani have joined DEX’s portfolio.

Daraz Express (DEX), the logistics arm of Pakistan's largest online marketplace, has significantly expanded its services to cater to a broader range of businesses. Since launching its last-mile delivery solution for non-Daraz marketplace entities in November 2025, DEX has recorded an impressive 6X growth and now serves over 200 brands.

Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Logistics Officer at Daraz, explained that the expansion reflects the company's ambition to position itself as a third-party logistics partner for Pakistan’s growing direct-to-consumer and online retail market. 'DEX was built to solve the challenges we encountered while scaling e-commerce in Pakistan,' he stated.

The network has onboarded several prominent Pakistani brands such as Sapphire, Sana Safinaz, Khaadi, SAYA, Nishat, Generation, Edenrobe, and Saeed Ghani. These brands are now part of a broader portfolio that spans fashion, lifestyle, beauty, personal care, and other retail categories.

Launched in Pakistan in 2018 as Daraz’s dedicated logistics arm, DEX initially focused on providing the marketplace with greater control over its delivery process. For e-commerce businesses, delivery performance can significantly impact customer confidence. Delayed shipments, inaccurate delivery attempts, and limited order visibility can undermine the overall experience.

Ahmed Tanveer elaborated that 'E-commerce logistics is different from conventional parcel delivery. It requires coordination across pickup, sorting, linehaul transportation, Cash on Delivery collection, delivery attempts, customer communication, and returns. Each part of that journey affects the final customer experience.'

DEX has since expanded its footprint to over 100 cities in Pakistan and established its own linehaul network connecting major urban centers. The company claims it can support local deliveries within 24 hours and inter-provincial deliveries within 72 hours, maintaining a successful delivery rate of more than 90%.

According to Tanveer, the company’s key differentiator is not just coverage but automation through its Smart Distribution Centres in Karachi and Lahore. These centres use automated sorting systems to route parcels according to their destination and delivery requirements. The facilities can process over 10,000 parcels per hour, with a combined capacity of up to one million parcels per day.

Tanveer highlighted that automation allows DEX to manage higher volumes with greater speed and accuracy while reducing operational pressure associated with manual sorting. 'It also gives us better data to plan capacity, monitor parcel movement, and identify bottlenecks,' he added.
