Trading volume on the CSE All Share index decreased to 64 million shares from 79 million in the previous session, indicating a decline in market activity.

The equity market’s turnover also fell, dropping to 2.13 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.5 million) from 2.68 billion rupees in the previous session.

Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 41.1 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.11 billion rupees.

This trend in investor behavior suggests a cautious approach from both domestic and foreign investors in the Sri Lankan market.

The market’s performance on Monday reflects the ongoing volatility and uncertainty in the Sri Lankan economy, with investors showing mixed sentiments.
