The Choir, a new television comedy drama series, features Ruth Jones and James Corden as its creators. The eight-episode production will air on Apple TV.

The narrative centres on brother Ben, played by James Corden, and sister Lisa, portrayed by Jones. Jones and Corden serve as the executive producers for the forthcoming series.

The series is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The show will include guest appearances from Hannah Waddingham, James McAvoy, and Jim Broadbent.

Jones stated, “We both feel that choirs, amateur choirs especially, bring people together in a way that maybe nothing else does.” Previously, Jones and Corden first met in the year 2000 while filming Fat Friends at the Crowne Plaza in Leeds.

The pair previously collaborated on other projects; Jones appeared in the Netflix series Run Away. Furthermore, Jones teamed up with Steve Speirs in a six-part comedy series titled Better Later.

The memoir concerning Gavin and Stacey was published on 9 October. For context, Gavin and Stacey ran for three series and three Christmas specials between 2007 and 2024.
