Heidi Klum appeared as a realistic-looking severed human hand during her annual Halloween party, which marked the 25th year of the event.
Klum said that it took a team of 15 artists to create her costume.
Klum said, "There still needs to be people that create moments with real people … to me, it’s like a beautiful art."
Klum noted that the elaborate look is temporary, stating, "This is only good for the night. Tonight. Everything goes down the drain, so to speak, in the shower." During last year's festivities, Klum portrayed the mythological monster Medusa. Tom Kaulitz attended that previous event dressed as an ancient Greek soldier who had been turned to stone by the monster.
Earlier this year, Klum hosted the 22nd season of the fashion competition series Project Runway. She served as a judge on the show alongside Nina Garcia and Law Roach. Klum returned to the competition series last year after having previously exited the show in 2018.
Since the show debuted on Bravo in 2004, Klum hosted the program for 16 seasons. In 2020, Klum and Tim Gunn launched a new fashion competition called Making the Cut for Prime Video. That series has run for three seasons.
