Pakistan’s State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported a small but positive increase in its foreign exchange reserves during the week ending July 31, 2026. The SBP announced that its reserves rose by $13.1 million to reach $17.043 billion.

The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan now stand at $22.475 billion, comprising $17.043 billion held by the SBP and $5.432 billion maintained by commercial banks.

According to Arif Habib Limited, this current level of reserves offers an import cover of 2.51 months, indicating a comfortable buffer for the country’s import needs.
