Honor introduced the X8e 4G smartphone in August 2024, featuring a 108MP camera and a 7,700mAh battery. The device can withstand temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C and is designed to remain functional for at least six years, according to Honor.
Engineered for rugged use, the phone holds IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings and received a five-star SGS impact resistance rating after tests involving drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres. Users can operate the touchscreen in the rain, while a dedicated underwater photography mode allows for aquatic shots.
The smartphone operates in humid environments with high salt levels for a full day and features a 6.87-inch LCD screen with a 720 × 1592 pixel resolution. A 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,020 nits define the display, which is housed in a body measuring 8.3mm thick and weighing 218g.
The X8e 4G shares most features with the Honor X7e Plus 4G but contains a smaller battery than that model, which has an 8,100mAh capacity. Powering the hardware is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 processor, manufactured using a 6nm process, which limits video recording to 1080p resolution.
Internal specifications include 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and supports 45W Honor SuperCharge fast charging.
Available in Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold, and Velvet Black, the device is priced at approximately $480, though some specification tables list it at $403.
