Mikel Arteta signed a new contract with Arsenal, keeping him at the club until 2030. The agreement means Arteta remains at the club past the end of the 2026/27 season, when his previous contract was set to expire.

The club stated that the new deal reflects a shared belief that the recent success marks the start of a special period for Arsenal. Furthermore, Arteta received a significant pay increase after guiding Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 22 years, following three consecutive seasons where they finished as runners-up.

Speaking about the future, Arteta stated, "This is only the beginning of what we can achieve together." Arteta also remarked, "It's a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal."

The manager first took charge of the team in December 2019, replacing Unai Emery. Last season, Arteta captained Arsenal to their first Champions League final in two decades, where they ultimately lost to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.

Across all competitions, Arteta has managed a total of 361 matches. His overall win percentage stands at just over 62 percent.

Currently, Arsenal occupies second place in the Premier League standings, trailing the leaders City by three points.

Stan and Josh Kroenke stated, "It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited for what lies ahead in this special relationship."
