Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab chaired a meeting of the Engineering Department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to address city development works. During the meeting, the Mayor directed that clear deadlines must be established for all development works currently underway across the city.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab stated, "We are currently carrying out development works across the city, and these works should be completed as soon as possible." The Mayor also instructed concerned officials to ensure that development projects achieve proper finishing and quality workmanship alongside their timely completion.
Furthermore, the Mayor directed that concerned officials must continuously monitor progress and set definitive completion dates for all ongoing projects. The Mayor emphasized that any unnecessary delays on any project would not be tolerated.
In addition, the Mayor directed that proper lighting arrangements should accompany the development of roads, footpaths, and other civic facilities. Officials were also instructed by the Mayor to maintain quality standards and guarantee satisfactory completion for projects nearing their final stages.
Municipal Commissioner KMC Abrar Jafar, Finance Adviser Gulzar Abro, and Director General Technical Services Tariq Mughal attended the proceedings.
