Dr Khuram Shahzad, an Assistant Professor and Senior Public Relations Officer at Punjab University, was invited to Germany’s Bielefeld University to lead a specialised training workshop.
The workshop, titled ‘Fake News on Social Media and Migration,’ was held at Bielefeld University, one of the top 20 institutions in Germany with approximately 25,000 on-campus students.
Dr Shahzad’s research, which developed an 11-indicator model for identifying propaganda content, was the basis for the training methodology.
The workshop was attended by Dr Aksakel of Bielefeld’s Research Training Group on World Politics, along with BS and master’s students.
The training focused on understanding how fake news emerges, spreads, and affects public discourse on migration.
