Pakistan has identified 10 primary public services to transition to digital delivery platforms. The National Information Technology Board and the National Database and Registration Authority are spearheading the development of a pilot citizen services portal.

This pilot project operates under the $78 million Digital Economy Enhancement Project, which receives funding from the World Bank. Technical integration includes a Single Sign-On system linked with the National Data Exchange Layer.

Users can access the Pak App on both iOS and Android devices. Six specific documents are now accessible within digital vaults, including the Pakistan Origin Card, the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis, and the Computerised National Identity Card.

Federal and provincial licences are also included in these digital repositories. The Digital Economy Enhancement Project further encompasses the Pakistan Business Portal, a Civic Innovation and Technology Lab, and the National Digital Portal.

A new system valued at Rs. 1.25 billion has been introduced by Government PIMS. Additionally, the government has announced the provision of 500,000 Chromebooks for students.
