Pakistan and China launched the China-Pakistan Information Corridor (CPIC) to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said, "The first phase connected our lands; the next phase will connect our minds."

A news exchange working group consisting of 18 Pakistani and Chinese media organisations is currently sharing verified news. Participating entities include state broadcasters, private television channels, Xinhua, China Media Group and People’s Daily.

The initiative established its first regional office in Karachi. Work is also progressing on a tourism corridor connecting Xinjiang and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Thirteen universities across Pakistan have nominated the first cohort of CPEC youth ambassadors. The fiber-optic cable through the Khunjerab Pass serves as the first direct fiber-optic connection between the two countries.

Attaullah Tarar noted that more than 68 per cent of Pakistan’s population is under 30 years of age. The chairman of Alibaba Group used artificial intelligence to draft the memorandum of understanding for the project.

Tarar warned, "A nation that cannot tell its own story in the digital space will have its story told for it."
