Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) has unveiled two new long-range loitering munitions, the D-248 and S-369, during the 2026 Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems Expo.
The D-248 is described as Pakistan's largest and longest-range drone, with an operational range of between 2,200 to 3,000 kilometers. It features a tailless delta-wing design and can carry a payload of up to 50 kilograms.
In contrast, the S-369 has a shorter range but still significant reach, capable of striking targets within 1,500 to 2,000 kilometers. This drone uses an arrow-delta wing configuration and also offers a payload capacity of 30 to 50 kilograms.
Both drones are designed with advanced capabilities, including a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 240 kilograms for the D-248 and between 215 to 225 kilograms for the S-369. The D-248 can reach speeds up to 225 km/h while cruising at 185 km/h, whereas the S-369 has a maximum speed of 220 km/h and cruises between 160 to 180 km/h.
The drones are equipped with state-of-the-art technology that allows them to operate effectively at altitudes up to 4,500 meters. They can remain airborne for extended periods, with the D-248 capable of flying for 12 to 14 hours and both drones being able to maintain operations in this duration.
According to HIT, these new systems represent a significant advancement in Pakistan’s military technology, enhancing its strategic capabilities through long-range surveillance and strike missions. The unveiling underscores Pakistan's commitment to developing cutting-edge defense technologies.
The D-248 and S-369 drones are part of Pakistan's ongoing efforts to modernize its armed forces and ensure regional security. These systems will likely play a crucial role in future military operations, providing enhanced capabilities for both offensive and defensive missions.
