The Pakistan Railways has unveiled a nationwide smart infrastructure upgrade under the Railway Advance Infrastructure Network (RAIN) project, promising enhanced freight operations and passenger services.
Under this initiative, officials are set to lay a comprehensive 1,70th kilometer fiber-optic network facilitating digital systems across railway management. The move is part of Pakistan Railways’ efforts for modernization that extends beyond just physical rail infrastructure improvements and into the realm of advanced technological integration.
The project will significantly contribute to smoother, more efficient freight operations by streamlining communication processes within Pakistani railway departments.
