Pakistan has finalized a 12-player squad for the third and final Test against England at Edgbaston. The team is set to face a formidable challenge, having lost the first two Tests in the series by significant margins.

Among the players in contention for their Test debuts are wicketkeeper-batter Ghazi Ghori, who is expected to feature in the playing XI. The 23-year-old Karachi-born player has previously been part of Pakistan's Test squads for the West Indies and England series but did not feature in the Caribbean series or the first two Tests against England.

All-rounder Muhammad Imran Randhawa is also a strong candidate to make his Test debut. With 2,255 runs, including two centuries, in 58 first-class matches, and 110 wickets with his medium-fast bowling, Randhawa brings a wealth of experience to the squad.

Pakistan could also hand a debut to 21-year-old pacer Razaullah if the team decides to field four fast bowlers. Razaullah made his first-class debut for Peshawar in 2025 and has already picked up 30 wickets in eight matches.

Arafat Minhas, a 21-year-old left-arm spinner and all-rounder from Multan, is in contention if Pakistan opts to play only one specialist spinner. Minhas has already represented Pakistan in three ODIs and four T20Is.

Pakistan heads into the Edgbaston Test trailing 2-0 in the three-match series after heavy defeats at Headingley and Lord’s. The team lost the opening Test inside three days by an innings and 103 runs, with England posting 409 in its first innings before bowling Pakistan out for 171 and 135.

England then scored 290 in the first innings at Lord’s, dismissing Pakistan for 110 and later adding 208 in the second innings to set a target of 389. Pakistan was bowled out for 194 in the chase, allowing England to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

The squad includes Saim Ayub, Aizaan, Awais, Abdullah, Shafique, Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Ghazi Ghori, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Ali, and Arafat Minhas.
