Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Wednesday, following the upward trend observed internationally. The local market witnessed a significant rise, with gold per tola reaching Rs437,936 after gaining Rs10,000 during the day.

According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs375,459, marking an increase of Rs8,573 from the previous day. This comes after Tuesday's decline of Rs500 brought the price per tola down to Rs427,936.

The international market also saw a rise in gold prices, with the rate increasing by $100 to reach $4,155 per ounce, including a premium of $20. This global trend directly influenced local markets, leading to the observed price hikes.

Silver prices followed suit and increased by Rs273 to Rs6,624 per tola, reflecting the broader market dynamics affecting precious metals in Pakistan.
