Gold prices in Pakistan have seen a significant rise on Monday, mirroring gains observed internationally. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,700, reaching Rs428,436.

This increase follows a previous decline in prices on Saturday when the gold per tola rate dropped by Rs3,700 to Rs426,736. The current rise brings the local market price back up significantly.

The international market also saw an upward trend with the gold rate increasing by $17 to reach $4,060 per ounce, reflecting a premium of $20 over the local price.

In addition to gold, silver prices have also seen an increase. The price of 10-gram silver rose by Rs54 to Rs6,291 per tola, indicating a steady rise in precious metal values across the board.

These fluctuations are typical during periods of economic uncertainty and can be influenced by global market trends as well as local supply and demand dynamics. The APGJSA monitors these changes closely to ensure accurate pricing for its members and customers.

For consumers and investors, this price movement highlights the importance of staying informed about both international and local market conditions when making purchasing decisions.
