Gold prices in Pakistan have seen a significant drop on Saturday, following the decline observed globally. The local market witnessed a decrease of Rs3,700 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs426,736.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs365,857 after a fall of Rs3,202. This marks a notable shift from Friday's prices, where gold per tola reached Rs430,436 following an increase of Rs3,000 during the day.

The international market also saw a decline in gold rates, with the price dropping by $37 to reach $4,043 per ounce. This comes with a premium of $20, indicating that local prices are still higher than the global rate due to local factors and demand.

In addition to gold, silver prices have also seen a reduction. The cost of silver per tola decreased by Rs57 to reach Rs6,237, reflecting the broader market trends affecting precious metals in Pakistan.

These changes are part of a wider global trend where financial markets continue to react to economic and geopolitical factors. Local traders and consumers will need to monitor these fluctuations as they can impact their investment decisions and purchasing power.

The APGJSA shared that such price movements are common during periods of market volatility, which can be influenced by various factors including investor sentiment, global economic conditions, and local supply and demand dynamics.
