ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) A senior officer of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was found dead in Islamabad.
The federal capital police recovered the body of senior National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer, Waqas Ahmed, from a guest house in Sector G-6/4, within the jurisdiction of Aabpara Police Station.
The body has been taken into custody and sent to Polyclinic Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
According to police sources, the deceased, who was serving as the Director at NAB Lahore, had come to Islamabad for official work.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the guest house and tried to enter his room, but it was locked from the inside. They obtained a duplicate key from the guest house management, opened the door, and found Ahmed s lifeless body.
Initial police investigations suggest that Ahmed may have been unwell, as he was found with a cannula attached to his hand, typically used for administering injections or IV drips. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed through the post-mortem report.
