Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Masood Malik and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Rajeh Tami Albugamy met at the ministry on Thursday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in energy, technology, industry, education and youth development. The officials agreed to engage technical teams to identify priority areas for joint initiatives and develop a shared vision for bilateral cooperation.
Malik said Saudi Arabia’s experience in promoting entrepreneurship and investment offers useful lessons for Pakistan, particularly regarding the engagement of young people in innovation. The minister noted that while Pakistan possesses substantial natural resources, mineral wealth, and strategic geographic advantages, translating these assets into sustainable growth requires a clear vision and investment in human capital.
Dr. Albugamy expressed Saudi Arabia’s willingness to support Pakistan's development efforts in key sectors and emphasized the importance of equipping skilled youth with technological expertise. The meeting also covered the strategic advantages both nations hold in accessing markets across Asia, Europe and Africa through closer industry-academia collaboration and technology transfer.
