Punjab established its first Commissioner Facilitation Desk at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 29 October. Assistant Commissioner General Dr Muhammad Zeeshan said the project intends to create a business-friendly environment by reducing bureaucratic obstacles.

Zeeshan stated that the government seeks to support industries instead of subjecting them to punitive actions, harassment, or unnecessary inspections. The Environmental Protection Agency will be the first department addressed under this initiative, as it received the highest number of complaints from the business community.

The administration will initially handle grievances involving provincial departments before moving to federal department issues in a later phase. A specific schedule for departmental inspections will be introduced to ensure businesses are checked during designated hours rather than facing repeated, unexpected visits.

Malik said the desk could remove obstacles to expansion and improve coordination between the private sector and government agencies. The FCCI President requested that the desk remain responsive so that complaints can be heard at a single platform and pursued through effective coordination.

Conveners of the chamber's standing committees identified concerns involving various agencies, including the Water & Sanitation Agency, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, Civil Defense, and the Federal Board of Revenue. Those who raised these issues included FCCI Senior Vice President Muhammad Yasin, Dr Habib Aslam Gaba, Farhan Tufail, Sadaqat Hussain Lodhi, Faisal Naeem Paracha and Dr Muzammil Hussain.
