Attaullah Tarar announced an 11-member advisory council to support Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. Tarar stated, "This selection is entirely on merit," while identifying the specific roles for each appointee.
Kifayatullah Khan will serve as advisor for the Home Department, and Tariq Mehmood Pasha will manage Finance matters. Amir Javed is designated as Advisor for Law, while Dr Syed Amir Abdullah will oversee Education.
Lt Gen (retd) Nigar Johar Khan will provide advice on Health, and Dr Sarfaraz Ali Shah will advise on Mines and Minerals. Dr Muhammad Irshad has been assigned to Industries and Commerce, while Asif Rafiq Afridi will advise on Communication and Works.
Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Qureshi will advise on Religious Affairs, and Osman Saifullah Khan will handle Energy. MNA Samar Haroon Bilour was appointed to advise on Information and Broadcasting.
Tarar claimed the PTI-led provincial government has been suspended through a constitutional provision, describing the current situation as an "unholy alliance" by the federal cabinet. The official further alleged that every political party except the PTI has faced militant attacks and that a power-sharing arrangement with non-state actors spread across the province.
Tarar also asserted that police reform legislation by the provincial government was intended to facilitate recruiting militants into the police force.
