The President highlighted the strong and traditional ties between the two countries, including contributions from Polish Air Force pilots and technicians.

President Zardari appreciated Poland’s support for Pakistan’s efforts in the EU’s GSP Plus scheme, expressing confidence in further coordination.

During the meeting, the President encouraged increased interactions among business communities and more frequent exchanges at leadership and people-to-people levels.

Siemoniak also mentioned the naming of a street in Islamabad after Air Commodore Wladyslaw Józef Marian Turowicz, a Polish pilot who served in Pakistan during the Second World War.

The Polish delegation, which included the Ambassador to Pakistan and representatives from the military intelligence services, emphasized the importance of transforming historical friendships into multifaceted partnerships.

The meeting underscored the mutual respect and shared interests between Pakistan and Poland, with both leaders expressing hope for a stronger bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Maciej Pisarski stated that Poland is exploring various possibilities for cooperation, including security, immigration, and combating terrorism.
