Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has instructed Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) to ensure the quality and transparency of ongoing development projects in their respective areas. The directive was issued during a meeting with MPAs from Sahiwal district, who discussed various political and development-related matters.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister announced that 14 additional electric buses would soon be introduced in Sahiwal, enhancing public transportation facilities in the city.
The MPAs present, including Wilayat Shah, Qasim Nadeem, Arshad Malik, Nadeem Aslam Lodhi, Rana Riaz Ahmed, and Muhammad Hanif, expressed appreciation for the Chief Minister’s efforts. They highlighted the beautification of Sahiwal city as a remarkable and historic initiative.
The MPAs also commended the Punjab government’s development projects in small and large cities and villages under the Punjab Development Project. They specifically thanked the Chief Minister for sewerage and drainage projects in Sahiwal and other cities, emphasizing the positive impact on the local community.
The Chief Minister highlighted the launch of 10 state-of-the-art Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence in Sahiwal Division, which would provide equal educational opportunities to children from both poor and affluent families. She assured that the standard of these schools would be no less than that of any good and leading private school.
The MPAs appreciated the initiative, stating that it was encouraging to see the focus on addressing the genuine problems of the people. They noted that the introduction of electric buses in Sahiwal was a commendable and exemplary initiative, providing travel facilities to thousands of people in different areas of the city, including Arifwala Bypass, Yousafwala, Noor Shah, KFC Bypass, General Bus Stand to Kameer, Adda Sabeel, and Bala Mor.
