The Economic Policy and Business Development (EPBD) Think Tank has launched a new public platform, the Pakistan Economic Dashboard, to address the issue of dispersed economic data across various official sources.

This initiative aims to bring together more than 75 years of economic and social statistics from different public agencies into a single, free digital resource.

The dashboard covers ten subject areas, including GDP and real growth, policy rates, balance of payments, power-sector losses, and household living standards, among others.

According to EPBD, the platform includes long-term statistics on GDP and growth, energy, prices, debt, trade, and socio-economic indicators, ensuring that every figure is sourced from official national sources.

EPBD has emphasized that no data on the dashboard has been estimated, modelled, or filled in, with series not chained across changes in base years or definitions.

The think tank stated that the initiative is intended to save users, such as researchers, policymakers, journalists, and academics, from manually reconciling data from multiple official documents.

The Pakistan Economic Dashboard is available free of charge without subscription or registration and is hosted as a self-contained digital page on the EPBD website.

EPBD has invited researchers, academia, students, journalists, policymakers, practitioners, officials, and the general public to use the resource and report any errors, inconsistencies, or suggestions for further improvement.
