Prior to the opening ceremony, the minister attended a welcome banquet hosted by Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee, which was attended by ministers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos.
During the gathering, Jam Kamal Khan held interactions with fellow ministers and dignitaries, exchanging views on the Belt and Road Initiative, regional connectivity, trade cooperation, and its broader economic benefits.
The minister also held discussions with Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee and interacted with China’s Vice Minister of Commerce, the Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Trade and Industry, and other participating leaders.
