The front of the main procession had reached Eidgah Chowk while its tail was at Britto Road, en route to Hussainia Iranian Imambargah, as reported earlier in the day.

To manage traffic during the procession, the police provided alternate routes for commuters. For example, people coming from Nazimabad may travel via Lasbela Chowk, then Nishtar Road through Garden, to reach their destinations.

The Additional Inspector General (IG) Azad Khan stated that 7,465 police officers and personnel would be deployed for security duty at 108 processions, 2,901 at 501 majalis, and 1,113 at 642 imambargahs on Chehlum.

All roads intersecting the route of Karachi’s main procession will remain completely closed, with extraordinary measures taken around Nishtar Park, according to police statements.
