A voter registration campaign aimed at reducing the gender gap in electoral rolls is currently being conducted in 16 districts of Sindh, under Phase-V of the Inclusive National Voter Registration Campaign (INVR-5).

Regional Election Commissioner Azhar Hussain Tanwari chaired a meeting at the Regional Election Commissioner’s Office in Hyderabad, where District Election Commissioner Nadeem Sheikh briefed participants on the progress.
Since August 2025, the gender gap in voter registration has reduced from 7.5% to 6.6% in August 2026, with around 11,000 new voters registered during the campaign.
Mobile registration vans are being deployed in various parts of Hyderabad to make voter registration more accessible, especially for women.
Awareness sessions on voter registration are being held at colleges and universities for young people and students, along with practical demonstrations on polling stations and the registration process at higher secondary colleges.
