Pakistan held talks in Istanbul and Doha, according to reports. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated that the Afghan interim government must transition from a militant mindset to a statesman mindset.

Tarar further asserted that the primary hurdles to achieving peace involve militancy and terrorist safe havens within Afghanistan. Pakistan has previously criticized Afghan authorities for permitting militant groups to operate from Afghan territory.

The Minister also noted that Pakistan conducted strikes inside Afghanistan. Moreover, Tarar stressed that Pakistan’s pursuit of peace should not be misinterpreted as a sign of weakness.

The Minister described the current situation as the “Afghan predicament or Afghan conundrum.” Tarar affirmed Pakistan's belief in peaceful coexistence and peace.

Qatar, Turkiye, and China hosted discussions involving Pakistan and Afghanistan. Regarding security actions, Tarar confirmed that Pakistan has responded to terrorist activities with strikes.

Last week, Pakistan carried out precision aerial and drone strikes across 10 locations within Afghanistan. On 21 September, Pakistan conducted airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in the border region with Afghanistan.

Near the Torkham border and Kohat, Pakistan shot down eight drones launched from across the border.
