Houthi forces appeared to make slow advances in south-west Yemen, according to reports. The group also fired a missile and an explosive towards the airport in Aden.

The explosive struck the vital airport just before a plane travelling from Cairo was scheduled to land. Authorities noted that the attack could have endangered thousands of people.

Consequently, a flight originating from Cairo was diverted to Jeddah. Separately, Houthi forces claimed they fired missiles towards two airports in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh.

Saudi authorities subsequently reported three people killed and 36 people wounded from the attacks. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi gave an address marking the third anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

During his address, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi urged Yemenis to investigate the Saudi role in the Palestinian cause. Furthermore, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi alleged that the Saudi government played a key role in conspiring against the Islamic resistance in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Southern Giants forces are leading efforts to recapture the Bab al-Mandab strait.
