Rafael Nadal will compete in a one-night Las Vegas exhibition event on 28 February 2027. The MGM Slam is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena.
Nadal, who is 40 years old, retired from professional tennis in November 2024. During his career, the Spaniard won 22 Grand Slam singles titles, including 14 French Open singles titles.
The athlete previously played a match in Las Vegas against Carlos Alcaraz in 2024. Earlier this year, eight ATP Tour stars participated in a Vegas event where Joao Fonseca won the title using a 10-point tie-breaker format.
"Now I return in a different stage of my life, without the pressure of the tour but with the same passion for this sport. I have always loved competing, and even if my professional career is finished, that feeling never really goes away," Nadal said. Nadal added, "I remember how impressive it was to feel the energy of a full arena in a city like Las Vegas."
